Is it possible to create (hidden) parallel plots? ScummVM has that in Maniac Mansion. You sometimes
see a scene somewhere else.
Ideas: You can see them with a remote viewing spell or in a dream or something like that.
It can make stories very interesting. Several plots can merge then into a complex exciting quest.

DFU doesn't really have a mechanism for that. You can make a pre-rendered movie ahead of time to show something else, but the game's camera is fully focused on the current scene.

I was working on a cutscene scripting system last summer but never finished it.
As soon as I finish polishing and releasing my current mod I'll get back on it. Give me a month or so.
