Unmodded DFU needs around 630MB disk space, which isn't much. Are you able to place the game files on a USB drive? I've used this setup in the past, and it works OK if slower than a fixed disk.
You don't mention your specs, but you might have trouble running DFU at all if it's truly a potato of a computer. You'll need a roughly 2016 PC to play DFU: i3 4th gen or later, 2GB RAM, DirectX11 capable GPU.

(sorry for the late reply)
2019 laptop(or 2018, forgot) can run Skyrim decently.
I believe it has 4gb ram, but forgot the processor right off lol
I installed the steam version of df, which is on my D:) drive.
Which I can't access from unity.

Re: Installation issues.
I have seen that before.
D: is expected to be your disk drive, not a hard drive.
Install the game on another drive and it works fine.
