Palette replacements?
i'm not sure what i'm asking for TBH. i repainted the palette image i found and all i want is to see how it looks in game in at least a few different environments. can the replacement even be done? do i need to convert the image to an actual palette file format somehow? maybe there's an enthusiastic person who also wants to see what the game will look like with butchered altered colors? attaching a preview and the image.

I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but I'm pretty sure you could export all the graphics using Daggerfall Imaging 2, load them into SLADE along with both palettes, re-palettize them, bundle the re-palettized sprites into a dfmod, and voila. Probably a one to two day project, with most of your time spent making sure all the file names are correct.
