Does this image make you quiver with fear, or reach for the volume controls?
If it's the latter (both is fine too) then read on.

It would be nice if mob sounds had more variety to them than a single soundbite. One method to add this variety would be to manually create more sounds for each mob and have them pick randomly from a selection. While this would be a great option, it can be a time-consuming effort if you're planning to add sounds to all mobs and all their variations (including idling or attacking) in the game.

Another method would be to take a page from Minecraft and change the pitch and length of mob sounds. For Minecraft mobs, their sounds range from longer, low-pitch sounds to shorter, higher-pitch sounds. Ideally, it'll automatically add variety to all mob sounds, including ones made from other mods. This idea could also be extended to include all existing sounds in the game, so you can have a variety of swishes, clangs, spell casts, etc.
