Playin with very high reflexes.
Just tried, and it add quite a dificulty. Wonderin if in the long run it's still playable, and if you folks are playin with it.

That's what I use all the time.
Character speed attribute is always helpful in combat, but will be even more important with very high reflexes setting; And I found that around 70 Speed, I can manually dodge almost all attacks.

Yes, thought about the speed importance. Do you dodge with a mod, cause i find myself strikin always by movin backwards until cornered, i don't seem to manage to press on, and keep my position or pushin the enemy...

It's what was recommended in a video I watched when I first was introduced to Daggerfall and I've had zero issues with it. But then again, I play a lot of games that require twitch-reflexes.

Was too slow. My burden reduced my speed to 30. Should be better now, but how do you dodge, slidin left or right?

Backward and forward is safer, once you have a good feel of your reach.
I never noticed loosing ground, but maybe I just didn't pay enough attention to that. Once you hit often enough, enemy's recoil should fix that.
Manoeuvrers that could help: feign forward attack, (enemy attacks) retreat, immediately attack safely during enemy's attack.
