I am trying to learn coding and I have no programming experience at all. Programming tutorials bore me to death but if I were to make a Daggerfall mod, I would be a lot more interested and might see it through. I am thinking of doing a quest chain with many layers and different outcomes.
Do you think starting with C# is a good path for understanding fundamental programming concepts, or is it outdated in favor of newer languages like Python? I have no idea what I'm talking about but I need a fun interesting project to jumpstart my career in tech.

Just start something and go from there, first start by copying others and it eventually will built up from there with time.
