Mod Idea: Personal player journal

I found this thread while seeing if such a mod had already been suggested and it had some cool ideas and useful info concerning its feasibility. Is it possible to put in an in-game text editor (attached to, say, an in-inventory book, only usable with quill and ink in inventory)?
