[request/suggestion]Vanilla friendly dual wield

I'm familiar with AMBI mod, but it doesn't preserve vanilla combat or have a plain dual wielding option.
My idea is simple. Interkarma, long ago, had weapons fully usable for each hand with no other real changes - just the ability to use two weapons on the screen at once. basically, a second weapon key allows for using the off handed weapon independently of the main handed weapon - 100% vanilla compatibility.
the game already has weapon mirroring through the left handed option...
maybe there's a way to allow for the two scripts to exist side by side, independently of each other?
