I found a switch in phrases during the rumour of success or failure

In RumorsPostfailure says:
The Fighter's Guild killed that
<ce> bear that got into _house_.
<ce> It's a good thing we have them around.

In Rumorspostsucess says:
<ce> That creature mauled some woman before
<ce> being chased out of town. What a pity.

Shouldn't it be the other way round? It doesn't make sense for a person to remain sad after the mission has been completed.
My team who are translating the game into PT-BR found this error and have fixed it for us.

I'd be surprised if those strings worked at all, because that uses the format for quest boxes, but rumors are supposed to appear in conversation boxes. If it has never appeared, that's probably why it has never been reported or fixed.

I'll change it and send it for post-1.0 versions.
