The game world on the screenshots looks very nice! I have to confess that I mostly do not enjoy the look of "modern" games, but you have created visuals that look both rather realistic and appealing, and obviously inspired by Daggerfall.
Thanks!
You are correct in your observation towards modern games. I did noticed that as well and it annoys me quite a bit. Modern technology makes everything "realistic" out of the box, but it dilutes away any individuality, style I would say. Unreal is very powerful tool, god mode of game making, but it's also a trap. You really need to know what you want and what you are doing to pull off good visual esthetics. I'm hope to maintain that. This should remain very lightweight graphics, in modern day terms.

Hey VMblast! Thank you for posting these. Your art is very beautiful and very clean. And like I said in our DM chat, I would very much enjoy this style of game. There's a Jacob Geller video about artificial loneliness which captures something of how I enjoy these games and articulates it better than I ever could.
I look forward to seeing more of your progress. Thanks for posting!
P.S. I'll move this up into Community at top of forums where it might get more eyeballs, and leave a shadow topic here for coverage.
Thanks man!
I will for sure watch this. It is important to translate some of that sense of loneliness into this project, even if its not based on post-apocalyptic environment, empty zones etc. It important to get that feeling across, and its quite a bit of a challenge. I will be open to any good suggestions in this regard.
Short video, just to show how everything works, orc and atmosphere. Also youtube video compression is just horrible, the original picture inside engine is phenomenal.
