Successfully palette switched to a Daggerfall Palette! This is good news as voxel palettes are dynamically created during the 3d to voxel conversion process. Doing this allows for the use of a standard voxel palette across all assets. The palette switch was done with a tool called Vengi VoxEdit https://github.com/vengi-voxel/vengi as MagicaVoxel can't palette switch for some reason.

Currently there's a bug in the tool but can be fixed by manually replacing the bugged copied Daggerfall palette in AppData created during custom palette loading process with the palette file and it should work. Its a temporary fix until the bug is squashed and the tool gets a newer release.

I've been working on getting some daggerfall monsters organised and will have initial versions of the bat and rat ready soon, as well as a more complete version of the Spellsword I was showcasing earlier.

Testing wise, coming up next will be something animated as well as looking for the best art style to have the textures in before voxel creation to match the Daggerfall sprites as close as possible. It would be intersting if I was able to grab one of Ninelan's models and do further testing or convert their works over to voxels.

In fact if any 3d artists would like to help out, i'd be more than happy to voxelize their works and put them in the credits. Vice versa as since I'm creating 3d assets I'd be happy to contribute to any 3d mods as well, a win win.

Awesome work! Can't wait to get this in-game.

There is lots of discussion on Discord every single day. Trust that the game and its community is thriving. If you need help, feedback, testing - there are many people willing to help in the mod channels.

That is a good point, tbh I haven't even looked at and dfu modding stuff on discord. Though I almost always suck at discord for long term use. I get too distracted and get lost on too many tangents on too many topics. I might drop in there from time to time.

Here's the latest preview of my works on the female spellsword. She's had about 7 iterations but has layed alot of groundwork out for other enemies.
